The 1966 graduation class of John F. Kennedy High School,
Suffolk, VA held its 40th class reunion at the Holiday Inn,
Chesapeake, VA during the October 6 – 8, 2006 weekend.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Reunion Committee
for the wonderful job they did to ensure that this weekend
was a success.
The Committee is pictured above: Chairperson Rose A. Cross
Valentine and Co-chairperson Alexander Bess (seated); and
left to right: Linda Ricks Hargrave, Judy Williams Caffey,
Clem Williams, Shirley Taylor Johnson, Marie Darden Diggs,
and Alexander Sinkfield.
The schedule of events included:

Friday Night – Meet and Greet: A chance for the
classmates to get together, some of us for the first time
in the whole 40 years. Good food…good fellowship…good
fun!

Saturday Night – Dinner/Dance: Introduction of
class members, recognition of teachers in attendance and
a Memorial to the 8 deceased members of our class.

Sunday Morning – Worship Service and Brunch: The
Lord has done a mighty work in our class as we counted
among those of us in attendance several Pastors, Preachers
and/or Evangelists including: Burnette Boone, John Colander,
Lemuel Green, Sherman Hatton, and Nora Thomas Morris.
Many more of us are doing the Lord’s work as deacons,
deaconesses, trustees, and faithful disciples. To God
be the glory for the great things He has done.
